Padmanava College of Engineering (PCE),set up under the aegis of "Padmanava Education Trust " (PET)in 1999 , has some eminent personalities like Mr. T R Patanaik ,Engineer .D R Patnaik, its members . It is a registered non-government organisation dedicated for promoting and quality education in the state and the country as well . The head quarter of the trust is at Bhubaneswar.
PCE .has been set up on a prime land (measuring over 7 acres) in the heart of the steel city, Rourkela. Away from the jostle bustle of city life , the institute constructed over an area of Thirty Seven thousand sq. ft. ,nestled amidst a lush green surroundings to add to its ambience, thus providing the right kind of atmosphere for pursuing educational activities of such demanding nature.

Departments
Presently PCE conducts program leading to 4 years Bachelor of Engineering Degree in the following branches with the number of seats noted against each:
>>Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. 60 seats

>> Electrical & Electronics Engg. 30 seats

>> Computer Science & Engg. 60 seats

>> Information Technology 60 seats

All the above courses, are designed by Sambalpur University, with emphasis on developing socio-cultural values and techno-managerial skills. With continuos research and feed-back from industry, the institute takes special care in devising effective methods of instructions through regular lectures, intensive Laboratory Practical, Seminars and Interactive GD, Guest lecture from academic and industrial world, Project assignments and Industrial Training, with an aim of grooming every student as a National asset with an edge to be high achievers.
